The ascended master Hilarion, the Chohan,1 or Lord, of the Fifth Ray of Science, Healing and Truth, holds a world balance for truth from his etheric retreat, known as the Temple of Truth, over the island of Crete. The island was an historic focal point for the Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece.We know few of this master’s incarnations, but the three most prominent are as the High Priest of the Temple of Truth on Atlantis; then as Paul, beloved apostle of Jesus; and as Hilarion, the great saint and healer, performer of miracles, who founded monasticism in Palestine. Embodied as Saul of Tarsus during the rise of Jesus’ popularity, Saul became a determined persecutor of Christians, originally seeing them as a rebellious faction and a danger to the government and society. Saul consented to the stoning of Stephen, a disciple of Jesus, failing to recognize the light in this saint and in the Christian movement.jesus had already resurrected and ascended2 when he met Saul on the road to Damascus. Paul had inwardly remembered his vow to serve the light of Christ—a vow that he had taken before his current incarnation. Three years after conversion, Paul spent another three years in seclusion in the Arabian Desert where he was taken up into Jesus’ etheric retreat. Paul did not ascend in that life due to his torturing of Christians earlier in that embodiment. In his very next lifetime, Paul was born to pagan parents in 290 A.D. They resided in the same geographical region in which he had lived as Paul in his previous lifetime. As a young boy, Hilarion was sent to Alexandria to study. During this time of study, he heard the gospel and was converted to Christianity.His greatest desire was to be a hermit—to spend his time fasting and praying to God in seclusion. So he divided his fortune among the poor and set out for the desert near Gaza. He spent twenty years in prayer in the desert before he performed his first miracle. God, through him, cured a woman of barrenness. And his healing ministry began.Soon Hilarion was sought out by hundreds who had heard of his miraculous cures and ability to exorcise demons. In 329 A.D., with a growing number of disciples assembling around him, he fled to Egypt to escape the constant flow of people seeking to be healed from all manner of diseases. His travels brought him to Alexandria again, to the Libyan Desert and to Sicily.But his miracles did not only include healings. Once when a seacoast town in which he was staying was threatened with a violent storm, he etched three signs of the cross into the sand at his feet then stood with hands raised toward the oncoming waves and held the sea at bay.Hilarion spent his last years in a lonely cave on Cyprus. He was canonized by the Catholic Church and is today known as the founder of the anchorite life, having originated in Palestine. To this day, those known as anchorites devote themselves to lives of seclusion and prayer. Hilarion ascended at the close of that embodiment. Την ευκαιρία να τρέξουν σε μία από τις ομορφότερες περιοχές της Ελλάδος στην ευρύτερη περιοχή των Χανίων, θα έχουν οι δρομείς που θα πάρουν μέρος στον 1o Μαραθώνιο Κρήτης, ο οποίος θα γίνει την Κυριακή 8 Μαϊου.
Ο 1ος Μαραθώνιος Κρήτης θα περιλαμβάνει τα αγωνίσματα του Μαραθωνίου των 10 χλμ. και 5 χλμ. όπου η συμμετοχή αναμένεται να είναι πολυπληθής. Επίσης στη Διοργάνωση περιλαμβάνεται και αγώνας μικρότερης διαδρομής, “κοινωνικής προσφοράς”, 2,5 χλμ. για αρχάριους δρομείς κάθε ηλικίας.
Σύμφωνα με τους διοργανωτές, παρά τα προβλήματα με την αναστολή των ακτοπλοϊκών δρομολογίων, οι συμμετοχές στον Μαραθώνιο δεν θα επηρεαστούν τόσο πολύ (θα τρέξουν περίπου 320 δρομείς), στα 10 χλμ. σχεδόν έχει κλείσει ο προβλεπόμενος αριθμός (700 δρομείς), ενώ συνεχίζονται οι εγγραφές στα 5 χλμ. και στα 2.5 χλμ., εκτιμώντας ότι ο συνολικός αριθμός θα ξεπεράσει τους 2.300 δρομείς.
Συμβουλές για όσους τρέξουν στον Μαραθώνιο δίνει ο Ιατρικός και Φαρμακευτικός Σύλλογος Χανίων (ΕΔΩ)
Να σημειωθεί ότι εγγραφές θα γίνονται και σήμερα στο κέντρο εγγραφών που θα λειτουργήσει στο Γιαλί Τζαμισί, στο παλιό λιμάνι Χανίων, από τις 10 π.μ. μέχρι τις 8 μ.μ.

Το Πρόγραμμα των αγωνιστικών εκδηλώσεων έχει ως εξής:

08:00: Εκκίνηση αγώνα Μαραθωνίου δρόμου

Κυκλοφοριακές ρυθμίσεις λόγω Μαραθωνίου

Διακοπή της κυκλοφορίας θα γίνει:
• Από τις 8.30 απόψε το βράδυ έως και τις 7 το πρωί της Κυριακής 8 Μαΐου στην οδό Ελ. Βενιζέλου, πλατεία Δημοτικής Αγοράς, από την αρχή της οδού Δασκαλογιάννη έως και την αρχή της οδού Χατζ. Γιάνναρη ύψος πεζόδρομου οδού Μουσούρων, στο ρεύμα προς Κίσαμο (κάθοδος).
Η κυκλοφορία των οχημάτων με κατεύθυνση προς παλιά εθνική οδό Χανίων – Κισάμου και Κλαδισό έως και τις 7 το πρωί της Κυριακής θα πραγματοποιείται από το αντίστοιχο ρεύμα κυκλοφορίας της ίδιας οδού, η οποία θα διαμορφωθεί προσωρινά σε οδό διπλής κατεύθυνσης από το ύψος της Τράπεζας της Ελλάδας από τη συμβολή της με την Παπανδρέου.
• Από τις 7 το πρωί της Κυριακής έως και τις 4 το απόγευμα της ίδιας ημέρας στη διαδρομή του Μαραθωνίου, δηλαδή από τη Χατζημιχάλη Γιάνναρη – Σκαλίδη – Κισάμου, παλαιά εθνική οδό Χανίων – Κισάμου ως και το 16ο χιλιόμετρο στο ύψος του Στρατιωτικού Αεροδρομίου Μάλεμε και αντιστρόφως Π.Ε.Ο.Χ.Κ. – Γέφυρα Κλαδισού – Αναγν. Γογονή – Λ. Ηρακλείου – Νεάρχου – Ι. Σφακιανάκη – Πλατεία Δικαστηρίων – Ηρώων Πολυτεχνείου Ελ. Βενιζέλου (αριστερά) – Δημοτική Αγορά).
Η κυκλοφορία προς Κίσαμο και αντιστρόφως θα εκτρέπεται στη νέα εθνική οδό από τον κόμβο του ΒΙΟ.ΠΑ. Σούδας και τον κόμβο του Ταυρωνίτη, αντίστοιχα. Για όσους κατευθύνονται από την περιοχή του Ακρωτηρίου προς Κίσαμο η κυκλοφορία θα εκτρέπεται από τον κόμβο στο ύψος του κέντρου “Νυκτερίδα”, στον Βλητέ Σούδας – κόμβος ΒΙΟ.ΠΑ. – ΝΕΟΧΚ και για περιμετρικά της πόλης των Χανίων η κυκλοφορία θα εκτρέπεται από τη συμβολή της Ακρωτηρίου με την Εθνικής Αντίστασης και από το τέλος της Ακρωτηρίου στη “Χονολουλού”.
• Η κυκλοφορία των οχημάτων από Ρέθυμνο και Αποκόρωνα προς τους Δήμους Κισάμου – Πλατανιά – Ανατολικού Σελίνου και Καντάνου θα πραγματοποιείται μέσω της Ν.Ε.Ο.Χ.Κ. και περιμετρικά της πόλης των Χανίων, από τον κόμβο Λ. Μουρνιών, ύψος ΝΑΣΚΡΙ, δεξιά οδός Αγίας Μαρίνας, Χρυσοπηγή και από ΝΑΣΚΡΙ αριστερά για Ελευθερίας, οικισμό Πασακάκι, Περιβόλια κ.λπ. περιοχές.
• Θα γίνει διακοπή της κυκλοφορίας των οχημάτων από τις 7 το πρωί της Κυριακής ως και τις 4 μ.μ. της ίδιας ημέρας στην πόλη των Χανίων για τις διαδρομές των 10 χλμ., 5 χλμ. και 2,5 χλμ. στις οδούς και στις παρόδους που περικλείονται από τις οδούς: Δημοτική Αγορά – Χατζημιχάλη Γιάνναρη – Χάληδων – Ενετικός Λιμένας – Ακτή Κανάρη – Ακτή Παπανικολή – Σελίνου Γεωργιακάκηδων – κόμβος Κλαδισού – Καζαντζάκη – Αναγν. Γογονή – Λ. Ηρακλείου – Νεάρχου – Ι. Σφακιανάκη – Πλατεία Δικαστηρίων – Ηρώων Πολυτεχνείου – Ελ. Βενιζέλου – Κύπρου – Καλεργών – Δασκαλογιάννη – Ελ. Βενιζέλου – Πλατεία Δημοτικής Αγοράς.
Δρομολόγια Αστικού ΚΤΕΛ 
Το Αστικο ΚΤΕΛ ανακοίνωσε ότι την Κυριακή 8 Μαΐου τα δρομολόγια θα εκτελούνται ως εξής:
1. Προς ΣΟΥΔΑ: Κανονικά, αφετηρία από οδ. Ζυμβρακάκηδων – Γογονή – οδ. Μουρν. – Εθν. Οδό – κ. Σούδα – Λιμάνι.
2. Προς ΧΑΛΕΠΑ: Κανονικά, με αφετηρία και τερματισμό το σινέ “θερ. ΑΤΤΙΚΟΝ”.
3. Προς ΚΟΥΝΟΥΠΙΔΙΑΝΑ: Κανονικά, με αφετηρία και τερματισμό το σινέ “θερ. ΑΤΤΙΚΟΝ”.
4. Προς ΝΟΣΟΚΟΜΕΙΟ: κανονικά.
5. Προς ΔΑΡΑΤΣΟ – ΓΑΛΑΤΑ: ΔΕΝ θα εκτελούνται (έως 4 μ.μ.),
6. Προς ΚΑΛΑΜΑΚΙ-Panorama: ΔΕΝ θα εκτελούνται (έως 4 μ.μ.),
7. Προς ΑΓ. ΙΩΑΝΝΗ: ΔΕΝ θα εκτελούνται (έως 4 μ.μ.),
8. Προς ΛΕΝΤΑΡΙΑΝΑ: ΔΕΝ θα εκτελούνται (έως 4 μ.μ.).
Μετά τις 4 μ.μ. όλα τα δρομολόγια θα εκτελούνται κανονικά όπως όλες τις Κυριακές και αργίες.
Τέλος, να σημειωθεί ότι χθες πραγματοποιήθηκε μία λιτή τελετή για το κόψιμο του κότινου από την αρχαία ελιά των Βουβών από την οποία θα φτιαχτούν τα στεφάνια των νικητών (ΕΔΩ)
