According to Deutsche Welle broadcasting, Martin Schultz made new comments about Greece during an interview he gave to the German newspaper Passauer Neue Presse. Commenting on the fact that the Greek PM firmly rejected the proposal put on the table by the Institutions, the President of the European Parliament said that Mr. Tsipras “is playing political games delaying the procedures” regarding a potential Greek solution.
At the same time, the number of people coming from major German political parties not hesitating to publicly express their opposition regarding further assistance to Greece constantly arises.
In an extensive article in the German magazine Der Spiegel, the last voting in Germany concerning the prolongation of the second bailout package for Greece last February has been recalled, reminding that 118 of the total 311 members of the parliamentary group, declared that they will not vote for a third aid package for Greece.

EU-Parlamentspräsident Martin Schulz (SPD) warf Tsipras "Verzögerungen und Spielchen" vor. "Die ideologische Verbohrtheit eines Teils der griechischen Regierung ist deshalb ärgerlich", sagte der "Passauer Neuen Presse" (Samstag). Tsipras versprühte dennoch Optimismus: Eine Lösung sei so nahe "wie nie zuvor", sagte er und fügte hinzu: "Wir sind auf der Zielgeraden".
Ganz anders äußerte sich der Vorsitzende der Eurogruppe, Jeroen Dijsselbloem. Die griechische Regierung sei noch nicht auf gutem Wege, um Staatsfinanzen und Wirtschaft in Ordnung zu bringen, sagte der niederländische Finanzminister: "Davon sind sie weit entfernt, und sie drohen noch weiter abzuweichen."
Die Gläubiger haben dem Vernehmen nach angeboten, die Sparauflagen für Athen zu lockern, verlangen aber im Gegenzug unter anderem Rentenkürzungen, Privatisierungen sowie Mehrwertsteuer-Änderungen. Diese Forderungen seien inakzeptabel, hieß es aus Regierungskreisen in Athen.
Nach Worten des griechischen Finanzministers Gianis Varoufakis wird die Regierung in Athen nicht die Fehler der Vorgängerregierungen wiederholen. Es werde nichts unterzeichnet, was nicht umsetzbar sei, sagte er der Deutschen Welle. "Das haben frühere Regierungen getan. Sie haben Angebote gemacht und Versprechen gegeben, von denen sie wussten, dass sie nicht erfüllbar sind", sagte er. Die Gläubiger hätten so getan, als wenn sie den Regierenden in Athen glaubten und so zugelassen, dass sich die Krise immer weiter verschärft habe.
Die Zeit drängt: Nach dem Zahlungsaufschub, den der IWF am Donnerstag gewährte, muss Athen bis zum 30. Juni etwa 1,6 Milliarden Euro an den Währungsfonds zurückzahlen. Eigentlich wäre am Freitag eine Rate von mehr als 300 Millionen Euro fällig gewesen. Am 30. Juni endet auch das zweite Rettungspaket der internationalen Geldgeber. Sie haben die Auszahlung der letzten Tranche in Höhe von 7,2 Milliarden Euro an Reformzusagen geknüpft.
Weitere Kürzungen von Renten und Gehältern lehnt Athen aber strikt ab. Tsipras ist bereit, die Steuern zu erhöhen - etwa die Sonder-Solidaritätssteuer sowie die Luxussteuer. Die griechische Presse rechnet damit, dass die Vorschläge aus Athen 1,8 Milliarden Euro in die Staatskassen bringen werden. Die Vorschläge der Gläubiger würden sich auf drei Milliarden Euro belaufen. Laut "Spiegel" hat Athen auch ein Schuldenmoratorium bis zum Jahresende vorgeschlagen.
Schulz hatte zuvor im ZDF angesichts der Hängepartie scharfe Kritik an Tsipras und dessen Linksbündnis Syriza geübt. Die griechische Regierung gehe "bisweilen gewaltig auf die Nerven", sagte er. Es sei unverständlich, dass die reichsten Griechen 120 Milliarden Euro außer Landes gebracht hätten und große Reeder nicht besteuert würden: "Ich hab' die Faxen dicke."
Trotz aller Differenzen betonten die Verantwortlichen in Athen wie auch die Europäer, dass Griechenland im Euro gehalten werden müsse. "Alles andere wäre für die griechische Bevölkerung mit noch größeren Härten verbunden und würde Europa sehr viel teurer zu stehen kommen", sagte Schulz. Varoufakis betonte, es geben "keinen Plan B".
Arbeitgeberpräsident Ingo Kramer sagte: "Es geht bei Griechenland nicht allein um eine ökonomische, sondern auch um eine politische Dimension (...). σχολιάζοντας την κατηγορηματική απόρριψη από τον Έλληνα πρωθυπουργό της
πρότασης των Θεσμών για επίλυση του ελληνικού προβλήματος, ο πρόεδρος
του Ευρωκοινοβουλίου είπε χαρακτηριστικά πως ο κ. Τσίπρας «παίζει
παιχνίδια» και καθυστερεί τις διαδικασίες όσον αφορά στην εξεύρεση λύσης

Στην ίδια εφημερίδα μίλησε και ο πρόεδρος της Ένωσης Γερμανών Εργοδοτών Ίνγκο Κράμερ ο οποίος τόνισε ότι η παραμονή της χώρας στην Ευρωζώνη δεν έχει μόνο οικονομική αλλά και πολιτική διάσταση.
«Αν δεν παραμείνει η χώρα στο ευρώ», επεσήμανε ο κ. Κράμερ και πρόσθεσε πως «σε 10 χρόνια θα αναρωτιόμαστε όλοι μας γιατί δεν μπορέσαμε να υπερασπιστούμε το κοινό μας νόμισμα».
Την «υπομονή» όμως με την Ελλάδα την εξαρτά από «την ετοιμότητά της για μεταρρυθμίσεις και μείωση του επιπέδου των κοινωνικών παροχών», που είναι, όπως υποστηρίζει, υψηλότερο συγκριτικά με μια σειρά από χώρες που έχουν δανείσει χρήματα στην Ελλάδα.
Την ίδια ώρα, πληθαίνουν οι φωνές στους κόλπους των Γερμανών Χριστιανοδημοκρατών και Χριστιανοκοινωνιστών που εκφράζουν πλέον δημόσια την αντίθεση τους στην παροχή περαιτέρω βοήθειας στην Ελλάδα. Η άρνησή τους αφορά στο τρέχον πρόγραμμα και πολύ περισσότερο ένα τρίτο δανειακό πακέτο.
Σε εκτενές άρθρο του περιοδικού Der Spiegel υπενθυμίζεται ότι στο περιθώριο της τελευταίας ψηφοφορίας που αφορούσε την χρονική παράταση του δευτέρου πακέτου για την Ελλάδα τον περασμένο Φεβρουάριο, 118 μέλη από τα 311 μέλη της κοινοβουλευτικής ομάδας, δηλαδή περισσότεροι από το ένα τρίτο των βουλευτών των δύο χριστιανικών κομμάτων, είχαν ονομαστικά δηλώσει ότι δεν πρόκειται να ψηφίσουν υπέρ ενός τρίτου πακέτου.
Σε αυτούς που αρνούνται πρόσθετη βοήθεια περιλαμβάνονται τουλάχιστον δύο μέλη του προεδρείου της κοινοβουλευτικής ομάδας, ο πρόεδρος της ομάδας εργασίας για τα μεσαία στρώματα, στην οποία ανήκουν περισσότεροι από τους μισούς βουλευτές, ο Βόλφγκανγκ Μπόσμπαχ, πρόεδρος της επιτροπής Εσωτερικών Υποθέσεων του γερμανικού κοινοβουλίου, αλλά και ο πρόεδρος της επιτροπής για θέματα Οικονομίας Πέτερ Ράμσαουερ.
