The ascended master Hilarion, the Chohan,1 or Lord, of the Fifth Ray of Science, Healing and Truth, holds a world balance for truth from his etheric retreat, known as the Temple of Truth, over the island of Crete. The island was an historic focal point for the Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece.We know few of this master’s incarnations, but the three most prominent are as the High Priest of the Temple of Truth on Atlantis; then as Paul, beloved apostle of Jesus; and as Hilarion, the great saint and healer, performer of miracles, who founded monasticism in Palestine. Embodied as Saul of Tarsus during the rise of Jesus’ popularity, Saul became a determined persecutor of Christians, originally seeing them as a rebellious faction and a danger to the government and society. Saul consented to the stoning of Stephen, a disciple of Jesus, failing to recognize the light in this saint and in the Christian movement.jesus had already resurrected and ascended2 when he met Saul on the road to Damascus. Saul took the name Paul and resolved to spread the word of truth throughout the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Paul had inwardly remembered his vow to serve the light of Christ—a vow that he had taken before his current incarnation. Three years after conversion, Paul spent another three years in seclusion in the Arabian Desert where he was taken up into Jesus’ etheric retreat. Paul did not ascend in that life due to his torturing of Christians earlier in that embodiment. In his very next lifetime, Paul was born to pagan parents in 290 A.D. They resided in the same geographical region in which he had lived as Paul in his previous lifetime. As a young boy, Hilarion was sent to Alexandria to study. During this time of study, he heard the gospel and was converted to Christianity.His greatest desire was to be a hermit—to spend his time fasting and praying to God in seclusion. So he divided his fortune among the poor and set out for the desert near Gaza. He spent twenty years in prayer in the desert before he performed his first miracle. God, through him, cured a woman of barrenness. And his healing ministry began.Soon Hilarion was sought out by hundreds who had heard of his miraculous cures and ability to exorcise demons. In 329 A.D., with a growing number of disciples assembling around him, he fled to Egypt to escape the constant flow of people seeking to be healed from all manner of diseases. His travels brought him to Alexandria again, to the Libyan Desert and to Sicily.But his miracles did not only include healings. Once when a seacoast town in which he was staying was threatened with a violent storm, he etched three signs of the cross into the sand at his feet then stood with hands raised toward the oncoming waves and held the sea at bay.Hilarion spent his last years in a lonely cave on Cyprus. He was canonized by the Catholic Church and is today known as the founder of the anchorite life, having originated in Palestine. To this day, those known as anchorites devote themselves to lives of seclusion and prayer. Hilarion ascended at the close of that embodiment. Hilarion, as an ascended master, speaks to us today of the power of truth to heal the souls of men, delivering his word through The Hearts Center’s Messenger, David Christopher Lewis.   • Το Ακρωτήρι των Χανίων
Ανατολικά της πόλης των Χανίων, το Ακρωτήρι με τις παλιές μονές του σας περιμένει. Περπατήστε ως τη μονή Αγίας Τριάδας Τσαγκαρόλων (17ος αι.), τη Μονή Γουβερνέτου (αρχές 16ου), τα ερείπια της υποβλητικής μονής Καθολικού, που θεωρείται η αρχαιότερη της Κρήτης (11ος αι.), και την «ιδιόμορφη» Παναγία Αρκουδιώτισσα. Ο ναός της είναι κρυμμένος μέσα στο σκοτάδι της λεγόμενης Αρκουδοσπηλιάς: ονομάστηκε, έτσι, από έναν σταλακτίτη που θυμίζει αρκούδα έτοιμη να πιει νερό από στέρνα. Η πίστη πάει ακόμη πιο πίσω στο χρόνο, καθώς εδώ λατρευόταν και η θεά Άρτεμις. Τα αξιοθέατα και η ιστορία των Χανίων θα σας μαγέψουν.
  • Γαστρονομία με άρωμα Κρήτης
Εδώ θα καταλάβετε, γιατί η κρητική κουζίνα έχει κατακτήσει τον κόσμο. Σε ψαροταβέρνες και ρακάδικα, σε καφενεία με ιστορία και επώνυμο κοινό, η νοστιμιά όλης της Κρήτης θα παρελάσει στο τραπέζι σας. Για γευσιγνωσία σε… άλλο επίπεδο, δοκιμάστε τα γκουρμέ εστιατόρια, όπου οι σεφ έχουν πάει την παραδοσιακή κουζίνα πιο μπροστά, κερδίζοντας «Χρυσούς Σκούφους» και άλλες διακρίσεις.
vrisses_riversΑξίζει να επισκεφθείτε τα χωριά του Αποκώρονα, που βρίσκονται σε απόσταση περίπου 20 λεπτά από την πόλη. Οι Αρμένοι, ο Βάμος, το Ξηροστέρνι, ο Κεφαλάς, το Γαβαλοχώρι, ο Άγιος Παύλος είναι σίγουρα από τα πιο όμορφα χωριά της Κρήτης – θα σας χαρίσουν όμως και μια εξαιρετική γαστριμαργική εμπειρία: αυτή του μεγαλείου της αυθεντικής Κρητικής κουζίνας. Απολαύστε τοπικές συνταγές της Κρήτης όπως τσιγαριαστό, μπουρέκι, καλιτσούνια, πιλάφι, ντάκος, αλλά και εξαιρετικό κρέας στα κάρβουνα. Οι πλατείες τους θα χαρούν να σας τρατάρουν με τα καλούδια του τόπου.
  • Beach party σε παραλίες εξωτικές
Μόλις 10 λεπτά έξω από τα Χανιά, ο ρυθμός του καλοκαιριού χτυπάει δυνατά. Αγία Μαρίνα, Πλατανιάς, Σταλός. Παραλίες με πεντακάθαρα πρασινογάλαζα νερά σας προσφέρουν στιγμές ξεγνοιασιάς: ξαπλώστρες, bars, ξενοδοχεία, ταβέρνες. Και για χορό από το πρωί μέχρι… το άλλο πρωί! Το πάρτι γίνεται στον Πλατανιά, εκεί που το καλοκαίρι δεν τελειώνει ποτέ.

  • Παραλίες-αξιοθέατα: τα Φαλάσαρνα και ο Μπάλος
Δυο διαδρομές κοντινές, σας ταξιδεύουν από τα Χανιά σε εξωτικούς προορισμούς.
Διαδρομή 1: Χανιά – Φαλάσαρνα: 58 χιλιόμετρα και φτάσατε. Λευκή άμμος στα πόδια, τιρκουάζ νερά, ηλιοβασίλεμα-μαγεία. Ατέλειωτη ομορφιά σε τρία χιλιόμετρα μιας από τις ωραιότερες παραλίες της Μεσογείου, βόρεια της οποίας βρίσκεται η αρχαία Φαλάσαρνα.
Διαδρομή 2: Στον Μπάλο: 52 χιλιόμετρα από τα Χανιά ή με το καραβάκι από τον Κίσσαμο. Είστε στην παραδεισένια λιμνοθάλασσα του Μπάλου, με την πιο πολυφωτογραφημένη παραλία της Κρήτης. Χαλαρώστε στα αβαθή πρασινογάλαζα και τιρκουάζ νερά, παρατηρήστε την άμμο με τις ρόδινες αποχρώσεις από τα εκατομμύρια σπασμένα κοχύλια. Απέναντι, τα δύο νησάκια, η Γραμβούσα και η Άγρια Γραμβούσα, σχηματίζουν προστατευτικό κλοιό.

  • Το φαράγγι της Σαμαριάς, μια αξέχαστη εμπειρία στην Κρήτη
Μερικά χιλιόμετρα έξω από τα Χανιά το φαράγγι της Σαμαριάς –γνωστό και ως «Φάραγγας»-, σας προκαλεί σε μία ανεπανάληπτη εμπειρία. Είναι το μεγαλύτερο και πιο γνωστό φαράγγι της Κρήτης παγκοσμίως. Αφιερώστε μια μέρα στα 18 χλμ. του φαραγγιού και θα δείτε το μεγαλείο της κρητικής φύσης να σας αποκαλύπτεται σε αυτό το καταφύγιο του σπάνιου κρητικού αίγαγρου. Στις Πόρτες, η εμπειρία απογειώνεται: πλάτος μόλις 3 μέτρα και ύψος των τοιχωμάτων 300 μέτρα! Η κατάληξη της πεντάωρης πεζοπορίας στην παραλία της Αγίας Ρουμέλης θα σας χαρίσει σαν επιβράβευση μια από τις ωραιότερες βουτιές της ζωής σας.

Οι κρυμμένοι θησαυροί των Χανίων
  • Η Χώρα Σφακίων, το Λουτρό και το Φραγκοκάστελο
Στη Χώρα των Σφακίων φτάνετε οδηγώντας νότια των Χανίων μέσα από ένα εξαιρετικό «ταξίδι» στο φαράγγι της Αράδαινας. Εξερευνήστε την ιστορία και τον θρύλο του εντυπωσιακού φρουρίου του Φραγκοκάστελου, που χτίστηκε γύρω στο 1.300 μ.Χ., κατά την περίοδο της Ενετοκρατίας: κάθε χρόνο, στις αρχές Ιούνιου, την ώρα της αυγής, ο θρύλος θέλει να εμφανίζονται στο κάστρο οι «Δροσουλίτες», σκιές αντρών -πεζών και καβαλάρηδων- ντυμένων στα μαύρα, με όπλα, περικεφαλαίες και ξίφη.
  • Το Κέντρο Αρχιτεκτονικής Μεσογείου και τα μουσεία των Χανίων
Ένα κρυφό, αλλά λαμπερό σημείο πολιτισμικής δραστηριότητας, με καταπληκτικές εκθέσεις και εκδηλώσεις, που φιλοξενείται στο Μεγάλο Αρσενάλι. Το κτήριο ήταν το τελευταίο νεώριο που κατασκεύασαν το 1600 οι Ενετοί και η ανάπλασή του άρχισε το 1941.
Κι όσο για τα μουσεία, χωρούν όλα στην ατζέντα σας. Ας ξεκινήσουμε τη βόλτα: Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο σε κτήριο-αξιοθέατο, Βυζαντινή Συλλογή, Ναυτικό Μουσείο Κρήτης -το δεύτερο παλαιότερο της Ελλάδας-, Μουσείο Τυπογραφίας στο Βιοτεχνικό Πάρκο Χανίων, Καλλιτεχνικό Χωριό στη Σούδα με εργαστήρια κεραμικής, ψηφιδωτού, αργυροχρυσοχοΐας, υαλουργίας.
paleochora1Στην Παλαιοχώρα υπάρχει το Διευρωπαϊκό Μουσείο των Ακριτών της Ευρώπης που παρουσιάζει σπουδαίους ακριτικούς ήρωες -από τον βασιλιά Αρθούρο, τον Τριστάνο και την Ιζόλδη μέχρι τον Διγενή Ακρίτα!
  • Στα σοκάκια της παλιάς πόλης
Εδώ δίνετε ραντεβού με την αυθεντική παράδοση και τη λαογραφία της Κρήτης. Στα Ταμπακαριά, τεχνίτες ακόμη επεξεργάζονται το δέρμα παραδοσιακά. Στην οδό Σκρύδλωφ, τα στιβανάδικα φτιάχνουν στιβάνια, τις περίφημες κρητικές μπότες.xania-palia-poli-2 Στην Καραολή Δημητρίου, τα μαχαιράδικα.
