m.l.p. : COMMENT on the last Paragraph
An entry into the ''second move Iran is going to make'' requires twice as much contemplating , cogitating, reflecting and mulling over such a decision. Consideration must be
given to the possible danger of a player 's turning into a pawn on the chess table, instead of remaining an important and strong partner in the game. m.l.p.
The following is an approximate transcript of the interview.
Khoshcheshm: The point is that Iran has downed, so far, many of these drones, many American drones.
To start with the first one was in 2011 if you remember Iran brought down a RQ170 Sentinel drone of the United States.
Ever since, Iran has shot down or at least shooed away many of these aggressive drones and unfortunately the international community has done nothing and actually there is not much hope for Iran to pursue this through international bodies because international bodies are under the full influence of the Zionist regime of Israel and the United States.Remember it’s not just limited to Iran. The Israeli regime is conducting spy operations and sabotage operations through its drones throughout the region.
Just two days after Iran announced that it had shot down a drone of the Israeli regime, which violated Iranian airspace through one of the northern neighbors, a former Soviet ally, Iraq also shot down another Israeli drone. That shows that the Israeli regime is conducting spy operations in different countries.
And the most important point is that a former Pentagon official told a news agency that following the last loss of these drones the Israeli military has put on hold on the missions of its drones throughout the countries that either Iran is present or its allies are present including Iran, Iraq, the Palestinian territories, Lebanon and Syria.
Press TV: I’m glad you raised that point because in the strongly-worded letter Iran has said that these moves do threaten regional peace and stability. Looking at the geo-politics of this region you would hope that the international community would take stronger measures against such moves?
Khoshcheshm: We should not confuse two things: the UN – at least to me – it doesn’t represent the international community. Remember Iran’s nuclear issue, 120 members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) are supporting Iran - That’s two thirds of the world’s countries.
But the UN chief and the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano, they are under the influence of the United States and Israel and they comply with their orders.
So, these international bodies do not really represent the world’s countries. If they wanted to do something they would do something with regard to the massacre the Israeli regime has done in Gaza in the last two months. They have killed over 2,100 people there mostly civilians, women and children.
They have not done anything with regard to Israel it was just the UN Human Rights Council probe into the massacre of the innocent people, but we have not seen any kind of move from the UN, from the UN Security Council and whenever some countries want to condemn or ratify a solution against Israel there is the United States, which vetoes that resolution. In this way regional security has been endangered and it will remain so.Remember that the Israeli regime is the only regime in the region, which has nuclear weapons, at least between 200-400 nuclear warheads. That’s a very grave danger to the regional security and stability of each and every nation in this region.
Press TV: Iran has also emphasized that it reserves the right to adopt whatever measure it deems necessary to protect itself should such a provocation arise in the future as well. What type of steps do you think Iran might take?
Khoshcheshm: Iranian officials have announced that they have different options. Bringing down or shooting down the hostile flying objects is just the first measure Iran is announced to have taken.
The second one is as a matter of fact taking the war into the occupied territories. Iran has announced at least for the last two months – first the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei announced - that Iran or the Muslim world would start arming the West Bank.
Iranian officials, senior commanders like our IRGC space commander Amir Ali Haji Zadeh and General Naqdi the commander of Basij, they have very directly announced that as one of those retaliatory moves they would arm the West Bank to launch armed struggle against the Israeli aggressive regime within the occupied territories. That’s the second move Iran is going to make.
And of course Iran is equipped with state-of-the-art military technology – all of these high tech weapons system are home grown – so Iran can also send drones over Israel.
Remember that the Lebanese Hezbollah movement nine months ago sent a drone deep into the Israeli territories, one of them over the Negev desert; the other one near Haifa that ran out of fuel and crashed – remember that that’s old Iranian drone technology before the RQ.
After the RQ as the IRGC space commander has said we have taken a stride or made a jump of about 20 years. Now we are 20 years ahead.
