This gives me the feeling that VIPs are practicing separate religions than anything Abrahamic, a.k.a. the religions of the masses.

Turns out JtB was held in prison by King Herod, King of Judea. He gets a sexy dance from the “Daughter of Herodias”
“6 On Herod’s birthday, the daughter of Herodias danced for Herod and his guests, and she pleased him. 7 So he promised with an oath to give her anything she wanted. 8 Herodias told her daughter what to ask for, so she said to Herod, “Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter.” 9 Although King Herod was very sad, he had made a promise, and his dinner guests had heard him. Thought it was pretty interesting that Herodias’s mother wanted the head. Checked her out, and found she was part of the Herodian Dynasty, “was a royal dynasty of Idumaean (Edomite) descent”
Checking out the Idumaean/Edomite story, this came up:
