The ascended master Hilarion, the Chohan,1 or Lord, of the Fifth Ray of Science, Healing and Truth, holds a world balance for truth from his etheric retreat, known as the Temple of Truth, over the island of Crete. They resided in the same geographical region in which he had lived as Paul in his previous lifetime. As a young boy, Hilarion was sent to Alexandria to study. During this time of study, he heard the gospel and was converted to Christianity.His greatest desire was to be a hermit—to spend his time fasting and praying to God in seclusion. So he divided his fortune among the poor and set out for the desert near Gaza. He spent twenty years in prayer in the desert before he performed his first miracle. God, through him, cured a woman of barrenness. And his healing ministry began.Soon Hilarion was sought out by hundreds who had heard of his miraculous cures and ability to exorcise demons. In 329 A.D., with a growing number of disciples assembling around him, he fled to Egypt to escape the constant flow of people seeking to be healed from all manner of diseases. His travels brought him to Alexandria again, to the Libyan Desert and to Sicily.But his miracles did not only include healings. Once when a seacoast town in which he was staying was threatened with a violent storm, he etched three signs of the cross into the sand at his feet then stood with hands raised toward the oncoming waves and held the sea at bay.Hilarion spent his last years in a lonely cave on Cyprus. He was canonized by the Catholic Church and is today known as the founder of the anchorite life, having originated in Palestine. Outgoing Euro Working Group chief Thomas Wieser on Wednesday, in summing up his tenure at the post, said no Greek government truly took "possession" of the bailout programs shepherded by international creditors over the years, with one exception: the SYRIZA government in 2017.

In an interview with the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung, the Austrian economist was asked directly whether the country will stand on its own two feet after the current bailout ends in August.
"We're certain that after eight years of adjustment (bailout) programs Greece not only can stand on its own two feet, but is obliged to... because these programs were, in the long term, particularly damaging for the legitimization of the domestic political system," he said, adding:
"Of course, the reforms of the last few years did not turn Greece into Switzerland or Luxembourg, however, they eliminated major imbalances and mistakes."

O επικεφαλής του EWG Τόμας Βίζερ κάνοντας αναδρομή της θητείας του που λήγει εκτιμά ότι καμιά ελληνική κυβέρνηση δεν ενστερνίσθηκε πραγματικά τα προγράμματα διάσωσης. Με εξαίρεση την κυβέρνηση ΣΥΡΙΖΑ.
Επί μια εξαετία ήταν επικεφαλής του Euro Working Group ο Αυστριακός Τόμας Βίζερ και έζησε από κοντά όλους τους κλυδωνισμούς της ευρωκρίσης. Σε συνέντευξη επί τη αποχωρήσει του στην ελβετική εφημερίδα Neue Zürcher Zeitung απαντά στο ερώτημα, αν η Ελλάδα θα μπορέσει να σταθεί στα πόδια της μετά τον Αύγουστο, οπότε λήγει το τρίτο πακέτο διάσωσης.
«Είμαστε πεπεισμένοι» λέει «ότι μετά από μια οκταετία με προγράμματα προσαρμογής η Ελλάδα δεν μπορεί μόνο να σταθεί στα πόδια της, αλλά είναι κιόλας υποχρεωμένη. Γιατί τα προγράμματα αυτά μακροπρόθεσμα είναι ιδιαίτερα επιβλαβή για τη νομιμοποίηση του εγχώριου πολιτικού συστήματος. Βεβαίως οι μεταρρυθμίσεις των τελευταίων ετών δεν μετέτρεψαν τη Ελλάδα σε Ελβετία ή Λουξεμβούργο, ωστόσο απάλειψαν τις χοντρές ανισορροπίες και τα λάθη.»
Η έκπληξη της τελευταίας χρονιάς
Ο Τόμας Βίζερ ομολογεί ότι τα προγράμματα διάσωσης μπορούν να πετύχουν επιδιορθώσεις του υπάρχοντος συστήματος, όχι όμως και να προχωρήσουν σε πραγματικά βαθιές τομές στην κοινωνία. Και ποιος μπορεί να πετύχει σε μια χώρα τέτοιες τομές και ουσιαστικές αλλαγές;

«Αυτή είναι δουλειά των πολιτικών και των πολιτών της κάθε χώρας» απαντά ο Βίζερ. «Θα πρέπει να ασκήσουν αυτοκριτική και να αναζητήσουν τις αιτίες της κρίσης. Από όλες τις χώρες της κρίσης αυτό το πέτυχε καλύτερα η Ιρλανδία. Καλά προχώρησε το πράγμα και στην Ισπανία, κάπως λιγότερο καλά στην Πορτογαλία και την Κύπρο. Στην Ελλάδα όμως δεν το βλέπουμε ακόμα. Εκεί υπάρχει η τάση να αποδίδονται οι ευθύνες στους ξένους. Μόνο όμως όταν μια κυβέρνηση ενστερνισθεί τους στόχους ενός προγράμματος, μπορεί να λειτουργήσει και η εφαρμογή του και να εξηγηθεί πειστικά στους πολίτες η αναγκαιότητά του… Αυτό δεν συνέβη στην Ελλάδα, με καμιά κυβέρνηση. Τα πράγματα βελτιώθηκαν ανέλπιστα μόνο τον τελευταίο χρόνο.»
Αντίθετα ο Τόμας Βίζερ θυμάται με δέος την πρώιμη φάση της διακυβέρνησης ΣΥΡΙΖΑ με διαπραγματευτή τον Γιάνη Βαρουφάκη. Για την ιστορία:
«Αυτό που θυμάμαι εντονότερα είναι ότι ο Βαρουφάκης μονολογούσε υπερβολικά και δεν ενδιαφερόταν για διάλογο. Αυτό εξηγείται και από το ότι εξαρχής ακολουθούσε τη στρατηγική να μην καταλήξει σε συνεννόηση με τους Ευρωπαίους εταίρους. Κι αυτό με σκοπό την τελευταία στιγμή και χάρη στον πανικό που θα δημιουργούνταν να αποσπάσει πολλά χρήματα χωρίς όρους. Επρόκειτο για μια λανθασμένη τακτική που κόστισε στον ελληνικό λαό πολύ χρήμα, ανάπτυξη και απασχόληση.»
