The Ascended Master of the Healing Ray

The ascended master Hilarion, the Chohan,1 or Lord, of the Fifth Ray of Science, Healing and Truth, holds a world balance for truth from his etheric retreat, known as the Temple of Truth, over the island of Crete. The island was an historic focal point for the Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece.We know few of this master’s incarnations, but the three most prominent are as the High Priest of the Temple of Truth on Atlantis; then as Paul, beloved apostle of Jesus; and as Hilarion, the great saint and healer, performer of miracles, who founded monasticism in Palestine. Embodied as Saul of Tarsus during the rise of Jesus’ popularity, Saul became a determined persecutor of Christians, originally seeing them as a rebellious faction and a danger to the government and society. Three years after conversion, Paul spent another three years in seclusion in the Arabian Desert where he was taken up into Jesus’ etheric retreat. Paul did not ascend in that life due to his torturing of Christians earlier in that embodiment. In his very next lifetime, Paul was born to pagan parents in 290 A.D. They resided in the same geographical region in which he had lived as Paul in his previous lifetime. As a young boy, Hilarion was sent to Alexandria to study. During this time of study, he heard the gospel and was converted to Christianity.His greatest desire was to be a hermit—to spend his time fasting and praying to God in seclusion. So he divided his fortune among the poor and set out for the desert near Gaza. He spent twenty years in prayer in the desert before he performed his first miracle. God, through him, cured a woman of barrenness. And his healing ministry began.Soon Hilarion was sought out by hundreds who had heard of his miraculous cures and ability to exorcise demons. In 329 A.D., with a growing number of disciples assembling around him, he fled to Egypt to escape the constant flow of people seeking to be healed from all manner of diseases. His travels brought him to Alexandria again, to the Libyan Desert and to Sicily.But his miracles did not only include healings. Once when a seacoast town in which he was staying was threatened with a violent storm, he etched three signs of the cross into the sand at his feet then stood with hands raised toward the oncoming waves and held the sea at bay.Hilarion spent his last years in a lonely cave on Cyprus. He was canonized by the Catholic Church and is today known as the founder of the anchorite life, having originated in Palestine. Ένα από τα πιο διαδεδομένα έθιμα του Πάσχα είναι το βάψιμο των αυγών τη Μεγάλη Πέμπτη,προχριστιανικό συμβόλο της ζωής, ενισχυμένο με τον συμβολισμό του κόκκινου χρώματος από το αίμα της θυσίας του Χριστού και αποτελεί για το Πάσχα απαραίτητο σύμβολο.Το αυγό συμβολίζει τον τάφο του Χριστού που ήταν ερμητικά κλειστός, όπως το περίβλημα του αυγού , αλλά έκρυβε μέσα του τη «Ζωή», αφού από αυτόν βγήκε ο Χριστός και αναστήθηκε.

Μπορεί τα τελευταία χρόνια το αυγά το Πάσχα να βάφονται σε διάφορα χρώματα, όμως η παράδοση τα θέλει κόκκινα. Είναι γεγονός πως τα χρωματιστά αυγά τα συναντάμε στην αρχαιότητα, στη Ρώμη, στην Ελλάδα, στην Κίνα, στην Αίγυπτο, ως δώρα στις ανοιξιάτικες γιορτές μαζί με κουνέλια, τα οποία ήταν το σύμβολο της γονιμότητας.
Πώς ακριβώς όμως, καταλήγουμε στην επιλογή του κόκκινου χρώματος, δεν είναι ξεκάθαρο. Οι εξηγήσεις που υπάρχουν, είναι πολλές. Μία από τις πιο αποδεκτές είναι πως το κόκκινο συμβολίζει το αίμα και τη θυσία του Ιησού. Οι άλλες ερμηνείες, έχουν πρωταγωνίστριές τους, τρεις γυναίκες : Την Παναγία, τη Μαγδαληνή και μία δύσπιστη ανώνυμη γυναίκα.
Η Παναγία πίσω απο το έθιμο των «κόκκινων αυγών»
Μία εξήγηση που δίνεται συχνά, λέει ότι η Παναγία πήρε ένα καλάθι αυγά και τα πρόσφερε στους φρουρούς Του Υιού της, ικετεύοντάς τους να του φέρονται καλά! Όταν τα δάκρυά της έπεσαν πάνω στα αυγά, αυτά βάφτηκαν κόκκινα!
Τα κόκκινα αυγά και η Μαγδαληνή
Μια άλλη ιστορία συνδέει το κόκκινο χρώμα με τη Μαρία Μαγδαληνή. Όταν ο Ρωμαίος αυτοκράτορας ενημερώθηκε για την Ανάσταση του Χριστού, τη θεώρησε τόσο απίθανη «όσο και το να βαφτούν τα αυγά κόκκινα». Η Μαρία Μαγδαληνή τότε, χρωμάτισε μερικά αυγά κόκκινα και του τα πήγε για να του επιβεβαιώσει το γεγονός.
Η δύσπιστη γυναίκα
Μία παραλλαγή της παραπάνω ιστορίας, θέλει μία γυναίκα να μην πιστεύει την είδηση της Ανάστασης Του Ιησού και να λέει: «Όταν τα αυγά που κρατώ θα γίνουν κόκκινα, τότε θα αναστηθεί και ο Χριστός». Και τότε αυτά έγιναν κόκκινα»!
Κόκκινο είναι και το χρώμα της χαράς. Χαράς για την Ανάσταση του Χριστού.
Είναι παράλληλα όμως και χρώμα αποτρεπτικό. Κόκκινες βελέντζες και κόκκινα μαντίλια κρεμούσαν τη Μεγάλη Πέμπτη στην Καστοριά οι γυναίκες για το καλό. Κόκκινο πανί έβαφαν μαζί με τα αυγά τους στη Μεσημβρία και το κρεμούσαν στο παράθυρο για σαράντα μέρες, για να μην τους πιάνει το μάτι.
Το βάψιμο των αυγών γινόταν τη Μεγάλη Πέμπτη γι αυτό και τη λέγαν Κόκκινη Πέφτη ή Κοκκινοπέφτη. Παλιότερα το συνήθιζαν κι αποβραδίς, πάντοτε τα μεσάνυχτα, με το ξεκίνημα της νέας μέρας. Καινούρια πρέπει να ήταν η κατσαρόλα που θα έβαφαν τα αυγά και ο αριθμός τους ορισμένος και τη μπογιά τη φύλαγαν σαράντα μέρες και δεν την έχυναν, ακόμα και τότε, έξω από το σπίτι.
Τα κόκκινα σαν αίμα αυγά, για να τιμήσουν το αίμα του Ιησού Χριστού, ανταλλάσσονται στην Ελλάδα.Μόνο όσοι πενθούν από πρόσφατο θάνατο οικείου προσώπου δε βάφουν αβγά για το Πάσχα. Αλλά και σε αυτούς θα φέρουν οι συγγενείς και οι φίλοι βαμμένα αβγά και από αυτά θα αφήσουν και στον τάφο του αγαπημένου τους.

Τα χρωματιστά αυγά και ιδιαίτερα τα κόκκινα μνημονεύονται για γιορταστικούς σκοπούς, στην Κίνα ήδη από τον 5ο αιώνα και στην Αίγυπτο από το 10ο.
Τον 17ο αιώνα τα βρίσκουμε τόσο στους Χριστιανούς όσο και στους Μωαμεθανούς (Μεσοποταμία, Συρία). Για τους πρώτους Χριστιανούς το αυγό είναι το σύμβολο της Ανάστασης του Χριστού. Στο Μεσαίωνα, βάφονταν αυγά για να δοθούν σαν δώρα το Πάσχα.
Η παράδοση λέει πως:
"Όταν είπαν πως αναστήθηκε ο Χριστός, κανείς δεν το πίστευε.
Μια γυναίκα, που κρατούσε στο καλάθι της αυγά, φώναξε:
"Μπορεί από άσπρα να γίνουν κόκκινα;" Και, ω του θαύματος έγιναν!"
Στην Κέρκυρα διηγούνται τα εξής:
Όταν αναστήθηκε ο Χριστός, πρώτα πρώτα το άκουσαν κάτι αυγά. Αμέσως άρχισαν την τρεχάλα να το διαδώσουν παντού. Από το πολύ το τρέξιμο έγιναν κατακόκκινα!
Μερικοί πιστεύουν ότι τα αυγά βάφονται κόκκινα σε ανάμνηση του αίματος του Χριστού, που χύθηκε για εμάς τους ανθρώπους. Κόκκινο είναι και το χρώμα της χαράς. Χαράς για την Ανάσταση του Χριστού. Είναι παράλληλα όμως και χρώμα αποτρεπτικό. Κόκκινες βελέντζες και κόκκινα μαντίλια κρεμούσαν τη Μεγάλη Πέμπτη στην Καστοριά οι γυναίκες για το καλό. Τα χρώματα για τα αυγά τα έφτιαχναν από διάφορα φυτά.  Από φλούδες κρεμμυδιών γινόταν το μελί, από άχυρο ή από φύλλα αμυγδαλιάς το κίτρινο, το ανοικτό κόκκινο από παπαρούνες, από μαϊντανό πράσινο, από ζαφορά το κίτρινο και από βιολέτες το μοβ.
Επίσης για το βάψιμο των αυγών χρησιμοποιούσαν το βάρτζι, ένα είδος κόκκινου ξύλου. Το κόκκινο όμως χρώμα ήταν και είναι πάντα το πιο αγαπημένο χρώμα για τα Πασχαλινά αυγά.
Φυσικές χαλκομανίες
Τα παλιότερα χρόνια διάλεγαν φύλλα από φυτά και λουλούδια και έβαζαν από ένα πάνω σε κάθε αυγό. Στη συνέχεια, τύλιγαν τριγύρω μια παλιά κάλτσα, την οποία στερέωναν με μια κλωστή και έβαφαν τα Πασχαλινά αυγά.
Το πρώτο Βαμμένο κόκκινο αυγό
Το πρώτο αυγό που έβαφαν ήταν της Παναγίας και το έβαζαν στο εικονοστάσι. Με αυτό σταύρωναν τα παιδιά από το κακό το μάτι.
Τα ευαγγελισμένα αυγά
Σε μερικά μέρη έβαζαν σε ένα κουτάκι τόσα αυγά όσα ήταν τα μέλη της οικογένειας και τα πήγαιναν το βράδυ στην εκκλησία, για να διαβαστούν στα 12 Ευαγγέλια. Τα άφηναν κάτω από την Αγία Τράπεζα ως την Ανάσταση και τότε καθεμιά έπαιρνε τα δικά της. Αυτά τα αυγά ήταν "ευαγγελισμένα" και τα τσόφλια τους τα παράχωναν στους κήπους και τις ρίζες των δέντρων για να καρπίσουν. Παρόμοια τύχη είχαν και τα αυγά που έκαναν οι κότες τη Μεγάλη Πέμπτη. Άμα η κότα ήταν μαύρη, ακόμα καλύτερα. Είχαν θαυμαστές ιδιότητες και μπορούσαν να διώξουν κάθε κακό. Τα αυγά τα Μεγαλοπεφτιάτικα περνούσαν τον πονόλαιμο, φύλαγαν το αμπέλι από το χαλάζι, έδιωχναν μακριά το σκαθάρι.
Τα "ξομπλωτά" ή "κεντημένα" αυγά
Οι γυναίκες και τα κορίτσια στόλιζαν τα αυγά, τα "έγραφαν", τα "κεντούσαν". Πάνω στα άσπρα αυγά έγραφαν με λειωμένο κερί ευχές, σχεδίαζαν σκηνές από τη ζωή του Χριστού, πουλιά κ.ά. Έριχναν μετά τα αυγά στην κόκκινη μπογιά και μέχρι να λειώσει το κερί έμεναν τα γράμματα και τα σχέδια άσπρα. Τα "ξομπλωτά" ή "κεντημένα" αυγά, που τα έλεγαν στη Μακεδονία και "πέρδικες", μια και συχνά είχαν πάνω τους πουλιά, ή ίσως και γιατί ξεχώριζαν, όπως κι οι πέρδικες, για την ομορφιά τους, θύμιζαν συχνά μικρογραφίες. Το ένα ήταν καλύτερο από το άλλο. Αυτά έστελναν δώρο οι αρραβωνιασμένες στο γαμπρό και οι βαφτισιμιές στους νονούς και τις νονές τους, σε όλα τα αγαπημένα πρόσωπα. Άλλοτε πάλι τα κορίτσια πρόσθεταν στα αυγά φτερά από χρωματιστό χαρτί, ουρά και μύτη από ζυμάρι και τα κρεμούσαν στο ταβάνι, έτοιμα να πετάξουν.
