BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has
met with India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who is on a
four day visit to China. Her trip is expected to increase political
trust and practical cooperation with China.
The two ministers discussed bilateral, regional and global issues. Wang said China and India both have independent foreign policies, and both are seeking to develop good relations with their neighbors. He said China values its strategic and cooperative partnership with India.
Wang said China is ready to work with India to advance this relationship, so the two countries remain good neighbors enjoying a harmonious coexistence, pursuing common development, peace and prosperity.
Swaraj said she has had an in-depth exchange of views with Wang in a good atmosphere. She said the discussions on trade and security issues had deepened mutual trust and understanding.
