It was the summer of 1989, at the pleasant hill station, Kodaikanal, when a devotee couple prayed to Swami to perform their child's 'Upanayam'(Thread Ceremony). Swami graciously blessed them by personally performing the ceremony and revealed the secret of Gayatri Mantra to a blessed few devotees and students present then.
