फेमस पावरफुल गायत्री मंत्र १०८ टाइम्स | गायत्री मंत्र | ओम भूर भुवा स्वाहा 'गायत्री' एक छन्द भी है जो ऋग्वेद के सात प्रसिद्ध छंदों में एक है। इन सात छंदों के नाम हैं- गायत्री, उष्णिक्, अनुष्टुप्, बृहती, विराट, त्रिष्टुप् और जगती। गायत्री छन्द में आठ-आठ अक्षरों के तीन चरण होते हैं। ऋग्वेद के मंत्रों में त्रिष्टुप् को छोड़कर सबसे अधिक संख्या गायत्री छंदों की है। गायत्री के तीन पद होते हैं (त्रिपदा वै गायत्री)। अतएव जब छंद या वाक के रूप में सृष्टि के प्रतीक की कल्पना की जाने लगी तब इस विश्व को त्रिपदा गायत्री का स्वरूप माना गया। जब गायत्री के रूप में जीवन की प्रतीकात्मक व्याख्या होने लगी तब गायत्री छंद की बढ़ती हुई महिता के अनुरूप विशेष मंत्र की रचना हुई, जो इस प्रकार है: ॐ भूर् भुवः सुवः । तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो॑ देवस्यधीमहि । धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥ मंत्र के प्रत्येक शब्द की व्याख्या गायत्री मंत्र के पहले नौ शब्द प्रभु के गुणों की व्याख्या करते हैं... ॐ = प्रणव भूर = मनुष्य को प्राण प्रदाण करने वाला भुवः = दुख़ों का नाश करने वाला स्वः = सुख़ प्रदाण करने वाला तत = वह, सवितुर = सूर्य की भांति उज्जवल वरेण्यं = सबसे उत्तम भर्गो = कर्मों का उद्धार करने वाला देवस्य = प्रभु धीमहि = आत्म चिंतन के योग्य (ध्यान) धियो = बुद्धि, यो = जो, नः = हमारी, प्रचोदयात् = हमें शक्ति दें (प्रार्थना) हिन्दी में भावार्थ उस प्राणस्वरूप, दुःखनाशक, सुखस्वरूप, श्रेष्ठ, तेजस्वी, पापनाशक, देवस्वरूप परमात्मा को हम अपनी अन्तरात्मा में धारण करें। वह परमात्मा हमारी बुद्धि को सन्मार्ग में प्रेरित करे। मंत्र जप के लाभ गायत्री मंत्र का नियमित रुप से सात बार जप करने से व्यक्ति के आसपास नकारात्मक शक्तियाँ बिलकुल नहीं आती। जप से कई प्रकार के लाभ होते हैं, व्यक्ति का तेज बढ़ता है और मानसिक चिंताओं से मुक्ति मिलती है।[1] बौद्धिक क्षमता और मेधाशक्ति यानी स्मरणशक्ति बढ़ती है। गायत्री मंत्र में चौबीस अक्षर होते हैं, यह 24 अक्षर चौबीस शक्तियों-सिद्धियों के प्रतीक हैं। इसी कारण ऋषियों ने गायत्री मंत्र को सभी प्रकार की मनोकामना को पूर्ण करने वाला बताया है। यह मंत्र सर्वप्रथम ऋग्वेद में उद्धृत हुआ है। इसके ऋषि विश्वामित्र हैं और देवता सविता हैं। वैसे तो यह मंत्र विश्वामित्र के इस सूक्त के १८ मंत्रों में केवल एक है, किंतु अर्थ की दृष्टि से इसकी महिमा का अनुभव आरंभ में ही ऋषियों ने कर लिया था और संपूर्ण ऋग्वेद के १० सहस्र मंत्रों में इस मंत्र के अर्थ की गंभीर व्यंजना सबसे अधिक की गई। इस मंत्र में २४ अक्षर हैं। उनमें आठ आठ अक्षरों के तीन चरण हैं। किंतु ब्राह्मण ग्रंथों में और कालांतर के समस्त साहित्य में इन अक्षरों से पहले तीन व्याहृतियाँ और उनसे पूर्व प्रणव या ओंकार को जोड़कर मंत्र का पूरा स्वरूप इस प्रकार स्थिर हुआ: (१) ॐ (२) भूर्भव: स्व: (३) तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो न: प्रचोदयात्। मंत्र के इस रूप को मनु ने सप्रणवा, सव्याहृतिका गायत्री कहा है और जप में इसी का विधान किया है

The Gāyatrī Mantra, also known as the Sāvitri Mantra, is a highly revered mantra from the Rig Veda (Mandala 3.62.10),^[1] dedicated to Savitr also known as Vedmata.^[1]^[2] Gāyatrī is the name of the Goddess of the Vedic Mantra in which the verse is composed.^[3] Its recitation is traditionally preceded by oṃ and the formula bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ, known as the mahāvyāhṛti, or "great (mystical) utterance". Maharshi Vishvamitra had created the Gayatri mantra. The Gayatri mantra is cited widely in Vedic and post-Vedic texts, such as the mantra listings of the Śrauta liturgy, and classical Hindu texts such as the Bhagavad Gita,^[4]^[5] Harivamsa,^[6] and Manusmṛti.^[7] The mantra and its associated metric form was known by the Buddha, and in one sutra the Buddha is described as "expressing their appreciation" for the mantra.^[8] The mantra is an important part of the upanayana ceremony for young males in Hinduism, and has long been recited by dvija men as part of their daily rituals. Modern Hindu reform movements spread the practice of the mantra to include women and all castes and its use is now very widespread.^[9]^[10] It is considered as one of the most important and powerful Vedic mantras.^[11]

“Gayatri is Sarvadevata Swarupini and Sarvamantra Swarupini (embodiment of all Gods and all Mantras). It is said, Gayatri Chhandasam Mata, meaning Gayatri is the mother of the Vedas. There is no need to chant any other Mantra if you chant the Gayatri Mantra. Gayatri has three names: Gayatri, Savitri and Saraswati. Gayantam Trayate Iti Gayatri (Gayatri protects the one who recites it).

Gayatri is the master of the senses. Savitri is the presiding deity of the life principle. When Gayatri acts as the protector of life force, she is known as Savitri. You might have heard the story of Savitri, a woman of chastity, who brought her dead husband, Satyavan, back to life with the power of her prayer. Savitri protects those who lead a life of Satya (truth). This is the inner meaning. Saraswati is the presiding deity of speech. Man has to earn the grace of Gayatri, Savitri and Saraswati to sanctify his life.”
