Manoeuvrering through the tractors
Greek farmers will continue their tractor protests against pension reforms and tax changes with road blocks at central junctions around the country on Wednesday.
Tempi (northern Thessaly) – closed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., however on Thursday there are discussions to lift the road block so that citizens wishing to take part in protest rallies can pass through.
Nikaia (Piraeus) – closed from noon onwards.
Evros (border region at East Macedonia/Thrace) – closure of Greek-Bulgarian and Greek-Turkish borders
Mikrothebes (southwest of Volos) – closed from noon to 6 p.m.
Melouna Elassonas (Larissa) – closed from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday
Trikala-Karditsa Highway – closed from noon to 3 p.m.
National Highway at Kastro, Viotia – closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thebes – closed from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Lamia – Athens Highway (border of Fthiotida with Viotia) – closed from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Lamia-Domokou Highway – closed from noon to 2 p.m.
Lourou Junction (Preveza) – closed from noon to 2 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m.
Patra-Athens National Highway (Egio) – closed from 7-10 p.m.
Patra-Pyrgos National Highway (Kato Ahaia Junction) – closed from 6-9 p.m.
Patra-Pyrgos Highway (Ilia at the Kourtesiou and Marathia Junction) – closed from noon to 3 p.m.
Antirrio-Ioannina Highway – closed from 10 a.m. to noon and 6-9 p.m. at Evinos River.
Agios Nikolaos Junction (Vonitsa) – noon to 3 p.m.
Xiropigadou Junction, Nafpaktos – closed from noon to 3 p.m.
Athens-Corinth Highway at Isthmus toll-gates – shut still following a week of closure
Old National Highway (Kalamaki) closed from 11-11.30 a.m., 4-4.30 p.m. and from 8-8.30 p.m. daily
Kladisou Junction, west entrance to the city – closed all day
Chania-Rethymno Highway (Chania, Crete) – closed
Atsipopoulou National Highway (central Rethymno Junction, Crete) – closed from noon to 1 p.m. and 8-9 p.m.
Kilkis – Evzonon customs closed from noon to 2 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. and Doirani customs closed from noon to 3 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. with more closures at Melissi, Mavrovouni, Mesimeri and Alysida Arnissas from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Koulouras Junction (Imathia) – symbolically closed from 4-5 p.m.
Niseliou block on the Egnatia Thessaloniki-Veria Highway (Veria) closed 4-6 p.m.
Krystalopigi Customs (border of Greece, Albania and Nikis with Skopje, West Macedonia) closed from noon to 2 p.m. and 7-9p.m.
Grevena – first exit of Egnatia Highway towards Ioannina closed from noon to 2 p.m. and from 5.30-8.30 p.m.
Neapoli Tsotyliou – closed from noon to 6 p.m.
Argos Orestikou crossing over Egnatia on the road to Kastoria – closed from noon to 1.30 p.m. and from 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.
Zakynthos – problems with blocks at the entrance of the island’s city
Kefalonia – road block at the junction entering Argostoli
