If the poor, wretched, miserable Gollum was The UNESCO World "IT" Monument, torn apart by some Shark's-Snatcher's vehement, vile, vulgar, malicious acts, He-IT would have all rights under the sun to get infuriated by the dissociation from It's Precious part.
Then He-IT, bitterly enraged by the extreme pain of the loss, of being broken apart and separated, He-IT would rightfully burst out like so:
Gollum:

They're filthy little thieves! Where is it? Where is it? They stole it
from us, our precious. Curse them! WE hates them! it's ours it is, and
we wants it! We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. They
stole it from us. Sneaky little hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy, false!
Yes precious. First they cheat you, hurt you, LIE....
Have you any doubt that both Precious Parthenon Bodies, those inhabiting Greece and those inhabiting England feel, think and believe any different than the above expressed? Why?Because their lips are sealed?
Or do you think, believe that Gollum and beloved Tolkien is not a Masterful Piece of The World Literary/Arts inheritance, along with Shakespeare and Homer and Fidias?
