What I have learned with piloting a craft by consciousness interface, is that if you want it to fly, you need to think YOU ARE the craft. This experience lead me to understand better how we can manifest our reality only by the power of our mind. Those who know me close know as well my particular ability for manifestation, but this is something which mechanisms I have come to understand through off-world experiences. If you imagine that the craft could fly, it will never take off. You need to become it, let your consciousness inhabit it. The ship becomes your vehicle when it becomes your body. If you want to change the future, it's like driving a craft through space; BE the future, live in it, walk in it, and to borrow this well known expression: BE the change you want to see in the world.
