Concerns and challenges in our own private-personal and in our global and national life-sphere seem to be non-stop present and in fact, they continue to steadily increase in their hardship rhythm.
So for today, July the First, I choose for myself this decompressing bubblegum-y attitude

And truly, I do very much enjoy and savour the 'papoutsakia', the stuffed eggplants of all herbs and sorts, the eggplant salad, the eggplant pickles, the eggplant vase-sweet, etc., etc.! But above all, I adore the glorious Greek Summer shimmering all over the Hellenic Aegean Sea, the Dolphins and the Turtles, embraced in the arms of the great Peaceful Mother, the Mediterranean Sea, in harmony, love and eternal beauty!PEACE!

The terrible grandmothers from Crete are back and this time they are messing with the trappers. Their goal is to advertise the sweet eggplant they have made.
Cretan grannies are going viral again and several years after their hit, Cretan Survivor, the black-clad grannies are back.
But how can they increase sales of sweet eggplant? Looking for ways, the grandmothers decide to make a video clip that speaks the language of young people.

As you will see in the video, the grandmothers gather again in the offices of the Cultural Association and try to find ideas to increase the sales of the sweet eggplant. The idea comes and seems ideal: they will create traps.(Just like the popular trouble-makers trappers of the day, Snik and Light...) And as they themselves say, "who is Snik and who is Light, we are the good trappers...".
Grandma Giannoula and Grandma Rodanthi bring the GANGSTA atmosphere to the once picturesque, now dangerous alleys of Crete on the occasion of the ultimate sweet Eggplant! Nothing can stop them! They decide to make a video clip but then, jealousy between them prevails and things get out of hand opening an unprecedented musical vendetta for the profits of the dessert and the eyes of the greengrocer who wants to exploit it in every way!
A burst of humour and optimism from Crete that we hope you enjoy as much as we do!

Οι τρομερές γιαγιάδες από την Κρήτη επιστρέφουν και αυτή τη φορά τα βάζουν με τους τράπερς. Στόχος τους είναι να διαφημίσουν το γλυκό μελιτζάνα που έχουν φτιάξει.
Οι γιαγιάδες από την Κρήτη γίνονται και πάλι viral και αρκετά χρόνια μετά την επιτυχία τους, το Cretan Survivor, οι μαυροφορεμένες γιαγιάδες επιστρέφουν. Πώς μπορούν όμως να αυξήσουν τις πωλήσεις του γλυκού μελιτζάνας; Αναζητώντας τρόπους, οι γιαγιάδες αποφασίζουν να φτιάξουν ένα βίντεο κλιπ που να μιλάει στη γλώσσα των νέων.

Όπως θα δείτε στο βίντεο, οι γιαγιάδες συγκεντρώνονται και πάλι στα γραφεία του Πολιτιστικού Συλλόγου και προσπαθούν να βρουν ιδέες για να αυξήσουν τις πωλήσεις του γλυκού μελιτζάνα. Η ιδέα έρχεται και μοιάζει ιδανική: θα δημιουργήσουν τραπ. Όπως λένε και οι ίδιες, ποιος Snik και ποιος Light. Η γιαγιά Γιαννούλα και η γιαγιά Ροδάνθη φέρνουν την GANGSTA ατμόσφαιρα στα άλλοτε γραφικά, νυν επικίνδυνα σοκάκια της Κρήτης με αφορμή το απόλυτο γλυκό Μελιτζάνας! Τίποτα δεν μπορεί να τις σταματήσει!
Έτσι λοιπόν αποφασίζουν να φτιάξουν ένα βίντεο κλιπ αλλά η ζήλεια μεταξύ τους υπερισχύει και τα πράγματα ξεφεύγουν ανοίγοντας μια άνευ προηγουμένου μουσική βεντέτα για τα κέρδη του γλυκού και τα μάτια του μανάβη που θέλει να το εκμεταλλευτεί με κάθε τρόπο! Μια έκρηξη αισιοδοξίας από την Κρήτη που ελπίζουμε να απολαύσετε όσο και εμείς!
Το βίντεο κλιπ - ύμνος στο γλυκό μελιτζάνα δημιουργήθηκε ως προωθητικό της εκπομπής «Καλοκαίρι στον Νότο», που μεταδίδεται κάθε καλοκαίρι από τους σταθμούς Madness 95 (Lasithi), UP 92,9 (Heraklion), Hxos 94,2 (Rethimno) & Fresh Radio 105 (Chania). Η παγκρήτια ραδιοφωνική εκπομπή φέτος κλείνει 19 χρόνια παρουσίας στο ελληνικό ραδιόφωνο και οι παραγωγοί Γιώργος Μπαλοθιάρης και Γωγώ Βερίγου, θέλησαν να ετοιμάσουν ένα εντυπωσιακό βίντεο για την πρεμιέρα.
