Το Σάββατο 24 Μαΐου 1941, μια ομάδα Γερμανών μπαίνει στο σπίτι του Λουφαρδαντώνη, στον Κακόπετρο του Δήμου Πλατανιά Χανίων και δολοφονούν με τα αυτόματά τους πέντε γυναίκες κι ένα μωρό δύο χρονών. Η Μαρία θυμάται μαζί μας την ιστορία και τον πατέρα της να της λέει: Μαρίκα…γιατί να φοβάσαι.

Το ολοκαύτωμα του Κακόπετρου, επαρχίας Σελίνου
Ν. Χανίων (24 Μαΐου 1941 & 28 Αυγούστου 1944) –
του Δημήτρη Δαμασκηνού, εκπαιδευτικού Δ.Ε.

Στις 24 Μαΐου 1941, το μεσημέρι του Σαββάτου, καθώς μια ομάδα τριάντα περίπου Γερμανών οπισθοχωρούσαν προς τις Βουκολιές, πεζοπόροι, βρέθηκαν ακριβώς στο κέντρο του χωριού Κακόπετρος, στο δημόσιο δρόμο, πάνω από τη συνοικία Μιχελιανά. Εκεί, πάνω από το σπίτι του Λουφαρδαντώνη, τρεις Γερμανοί αποσπάστηκαν από την υπόλοιπη ομάδα και πέταξαν προς το δώμα του σπιτιού τρεις χειροβομβίδες. Μέσα στο σπίτι ήταν έξι γυναίκες και δύο νήπια.

Στη συνέχεια εκτέλεσαν με ριπές πυροβόλου 5 γυναίκες και τον γιο της Ελευθερίας Λουφαρδάκη – Κουριδάκη, το Μανώλη, μόλις 3 ετών, ενώ τραυμάτισαν βαρύτατα την Κυριακούλα, χήρα Νικολάου Μαλανδράκη, τη γυναίκα που κρατούσε στην αγκαλιά της το δεύτερο νήπιο, τη Μαρία Ανδρέα Τσοντάκη, μόλις 2 ετών που από θαύμα σώθηκε.

Επίσης στις 28 Αυγούστου 1944, τα χαράματα, οι πολλές δεκάδες Γερμανοί φασίστες που είχαν περικυκλώσει από τα μεσάνυχτα τον Κακόπετρο, όρμησαν μέσα στο χωριό πυροβολώντας και πετώντας δεκάδες χειροβομβίδες στα χαλόσπιτα. Πραγματική κόλαση.

Εκτέλεσαν όλους τους άντρες που έβρισκαν στο πέρασμά τους κι ορισμένους πριν τους εκτελέσουν τους βασάνισαν, όπως τους δυο γιούς της Κυριακούλας, χήρας Νικολάου Μαλανδράκη, τον Αναστάση 21 χρονών και τον Μιχάλη, 19.

Τους γάζωσαν με σφαίρες στην αυλή του σπιτιού τους, μπροστά στα μάτια της μάνας τους, που την κρατούσε ένας Γερμανός για να μην τρέξει σε βοήθεια των παιδιών της τη στιγμή που ο Μιχάλης, όρθιος ακόμη, προσπαθούσε να βάλει με τα χέρια του μέσα στην κοιλιά τα σπλάχνα του, που είχαν χυθεί στην αυλή κι ενώ τα κτήνη έβγαζαν φωτογραφίες να τις έχουν για ενθύμιο. Εκείνη την μέρα στο Κακόπετρο 23 άντρες έπεσαν νεκροί .

-Ήρθετε, λέει, να καταγράψετε για το αίμα που χύθηκε… έχετε κ’ επαέ να σημειώσετε κατιτίς…

-Τί;

-Τέσσερις γυιούς μου σκοτώσανε… Οι δυο τελευταίοι ήσανε δίδυμα…

Πώς σε λένε;

-Δεσποτάκη… μα επειδή είστε κουρασμένοι, περάσετε κι από το σπίτι να πάρετε ένα νερό…

Το σπίτι του ήταν εκεί δίπλα σε μιαν κατηφοριά. Μπαίνομε μέσα, τί να δούμε, ένα τραπέζι, μ’ όλα του Θεού τα καλά, και στη γωνιά μια γυναίκα μαυροφορεμένη μ’ ένα κοριτσάκι μικρό στην ποδιά της, να κάθεται να κλαίει…

-Ήντα ’ναι δά τουτανά; ήντα κλαις; Οι αθρώποι δεν ήρθανε για να τωσε χαλάσεις την καρδιά ντως. Εκεί είδα τον Καζαντζάκη να κλαίει. Μέσα στ’ αυτοκίνητο μας ήλεγε κι ήκλαιγε ακόμη, είδετε; αυτή είναι η κρητική ψυχή, την ελευτερία την έχει θρησκεία… Ένας τέτοιος λαός υποδουλώνεται ποτές;

10 Αναστάσης Μαλανδράκης του Νικολάου, 21χρονών, ξυλουργός από το Κακόπετρο. Αφού διασώθηκε από το εκτελεστικό απόσπασμα και κρατώντας στα χέρια του τα εντόσθιά του, έφθασε στο κρεβάτι του. Ο Γερμανός βλέποντας το θέαμα τον φωτογράφησε και έπειτα τον εκτέλεσε μπροστά στη μάνα του.
9 Μιχάλης Μαλανδράκης του Νικολάου, 19 χρονών, τσαγκάρης από τον Κακόπετρο. Εκτελέστηκε από τους Γερμανούς στις 28/08/1944.

Η εκτέλεση των τεσσάρων αδελφών Δεσποτάκη στον Κακόπετρο

Στις 28 Αυγούστου του 1944, οι Γερμανοί κύκλωσαν το χωριό Κακόπετρος της ορεινής Κισάμου και όπως είναι γνωστό, παντού σκορπούσαν στο διάβα τους τον όλεθρο και την καταστροφή. Πήγαν στο σπίτι της Μαρίας και του Κωνσταντίνου Δεσποτάκη και πήραν τα τέσσερα από τα αγόρια (ο πέμπτος έλειπε) της οικογένειας που είχε συνολικά έξι παιδιά. Κανείς δεν περίμενε το κακό που επρόκειτο να ακολουθήσει. Οι γυναίκες ήταν στο σπίτι ενώ τα τέσσερα αδέρφια είχαν αρνηθεί να ακολουθήσουν τον πατέρα τους που είχε φύγει από νωρίς για να κρυφτεί σε μια σπηλιά στα Παπαδιανά. Αδίστακτοι οι Γερμανοί, αφού τα εκτέλεσαν στην άκρη του δρόμου, πέταξαν τα άψυχα σώματά τους στην κάτω μεριά του δρόμου, στο σημείο που το απόγευμα της ίδιας μέρας τα βρήκε η δύστυχη μάνα τους. Την επόμενη θάφτηκαν στον Μιχαήλ Αρχάγγελο, χωρίς ψάλτη, χωρίς παπά. Η κηδεία έγινε πρόχειρα από τις γυναίκες του χωριού και από τους συγγενείς τους. Αυτή είναι η θλιβερή ιστορία για τον Μανώλη Δεσποτάκη, είκοσι εφτά χρονών τότε, για τον Σπύρο είκοσι τεσσάρων και για τα δίδυμα Αναστάση και Χαραλάμπη μόλις δεκαεφτά χρονών!

Η αδελφή τους, Ολυμπία Δεσποτάκη, δώδεκα ετών τότε, έκανε το θρήνο μοιρολόι:

Το μοιρολόι που θα πω να μάθετε να λέτε
του Κακοπέτρου τα δεινά παντοτινά να κλαίτε
Δευτέρα ξημερώματα κυκλώσαν το χωριό μας
Αυγούστου εικοσιοχτώ, κακό στο ριζικό μας.
Θ’ αρχίσω το ιστορικό με μάθια δακρυσμένα
τα Δεσποτάκια φάγανε άδικα τα καημένα.
Παιδιά ετουφεκίσανε, αθώα παλικάρια
και τα ’στειλαν να κατεβούν στου Άδη τα σκοτάδια.
Σα να ’ταν φοβεροί ληστές και επικηρυγμένοι
έτσι τα τουφεκίσανε, οι τρισκαταραμένοι.
Φονιά εσύ που τα ’βαλες εις τη γραμμή αράδα
δεν ένιωσες λιποψυχιά, γή πόνο γή ζαλάδα
Τ’ απόγευμα που φύγανε οι τρισκαταραμένοι
πάει η μάνα και ζητά τσοι γιους τση η καημένη
Και μόλις είδε το σωρό απάνω εις το χώμα
τον πόνο και το θρήνο τση να πει δεν είχε στόμα.
Την άλλη μέρα η μάνα τους, η Δεσποτοκωστίνα
στον ώμο τζη τα σήκωσε και πήγε τα στο μνήμα.
Δυο – δυο τα βάλανε στη γης στση εκκλησιάς την άκρη
κι ο ουρανός εσείστηκε κι έβγαλε μαύρο δάκρυ…

Στο Σέλινο κουφοβροντά

Στο Σέλινο κουφοβροντά,
βρέχει μα βρέχει μπάλες.
Οι Γερμανοί περάσανε
στα Τρα Χωριά τα πέρα,
Μονή και Κουστογέρακο
και Λιβαδά και καίνε,
τα παλληκάρια φτάξανε.

Η φωτογραφία της Αγιάς έγινε την άλλη μέρα. Κ’ εκεί του ’καμε εντύπωση κι όλο σημείωνε, να ξέρει μέσα στις καλαμποκιές, στις ρίζες τους,. Τα κρητικά κόκκαλα… Είδαμε ανοιχτό τάφο με μισολυωμένο το μάρτυρα, καθιστό… τους τουφεκίζανε κι αμέσως τους παραχώνανε και θωρούσανε, λέει, οι χωριάτες το χώμα που τους σκεπάζανε, πολλές φορές να μετακουνιέται… ζωντανοί ήσαν ακόμη οι πατριώτες… κ’ ευτύς βάνανε τους χωριάτες και κάνανε από πάνω χωράφι και φυτεύανε καλαμπόκια.

Στην τοποθεσία «Γολγοθάς» που βρίσκεται στην παλιά κοινότητα του Γαλατά,
πίσω από τις φυλακές της Αγιάς Χανίων μεταφέρθηκε στις 20 Μαΐου 2013 το «τίμιο ξύλο»,
δηλ. ο κορμός στον οποίο έδεναν τους πατριώτες που εκτέλεσαν τα γερμανικά στρατεύματα κατοχής
