Why should we welcome tests, disappointments and troubles? Bhagawan lovingly pulls us upward and onward, with a powerful metaphor.
Welcome
all blows of fate, misfortunes and miseries as gold welcomes the
crucible, hammer and anvil, in order to become a jewel. Like the cane,
welcome the chopper, crusher, boiler, pan, sprayer and dryer, so that
its sweetness is preserved and used as sugar by all. The Pandavas never
demurred when disasters fell thick upon them. They accepted troubles as
opportunities to remember Krishna and prayed fervently. God will foster
you from within you, just as He saved and fostered so many saints who
placed faith in Him.
