The Guru Poornima of 1968 was very unique and special. It was the only festival Swami celebrated outside of India. This Guru Poornima marks the 50th year of Swami celebrating the festival in East Africa, which also happens to be Swami's only trip abroad (1-14 July 1968). Moved by the prayers of devotees, Swami chose to extend His stay and observe this important festival in Kampala, Uganda on 10 July. The video quality may not be the best, but we thought it appropriate to relive those moments through this vintage video.
