'Sri Sathya Sai Mitra' - 2100 kWp Solar Power Project at Prasanthi Nilayam
With the blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, with the vision of developing self-sufficiency in power generation, and being a role model in sustainable development, the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust commissions a 2.1 MWp solar power plant at Prasanthi Nilayam, Andhra Pradesh on the auspicious day of 24-April-2018.
This power plant will generate clean energy to meet the requirements of the campuses of its Institutions viz. Sri Sathya Sai Institutes of Higher Learning & Higher Medical Sciences, Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital and Sri Sathya Sai Archives.
The solar plant would reduce over 6500 tons of CO2 emission.
The 2100 kWp solar plant is one of the largest single installations in Andhra Pradesh and also in the whole of India set up by a public charitable Trust.
Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust proposes to meet most of its power requirements by using the energy of the sun by setting up more solar power plants soon.
