Corey Feldman Arrested Days After Calling Out Hollywood’s Pedophilia Problem
(ANTIMEDIA) Actor and musician Corey Feldman was arrested Saturday night in Mangham, Louisiana, for marijuana possession and a traffic violation charge.
Feldman was scheduled to play a concert approximately 30 miles
northwest of Mangham in Monroe, LA, at the Live Oaks Bar & Ballroom
with his band, Corey Feldman & the Angels.
According to Mangham Police Chief Perry Fleming, the misdemeanor
charges will only result in a fine for Feldman, and he was released from
custody without being booked into jail.
However, additional members of the actor’s entourage — as many as six
people — were booked into the Richland Parish Jail overnight and are
facing various other charges.
The actor, known for roles in The Goonies and The Lost Boys, made headlines just days before his arrest. Feldman, who has spoken out against sexual abuse
in Hollywood for years, took to Twitter in the aftermath of the Harvey
Weinstein scandal to ask for his peers who witnessed such abuses to
speak out.
“For the record, I will not be going on a talk show to disclose
names of my abusers or anyone else’s abusers. So please stop asking me
to do so,” Feldman wrote.
“The practice of sensationalizing this topic with no plan of action or
protection for my family would prove fruitless. I have been through

No, because it’s going to bring the whole show to a grinding halt, and stop all the checks. So, the pressure is there is not to say anything.”

reports surfaced that he’d been arrested for marijuana possession.
The former child star, 46, was due to perform with his band in
Louisiana when his bus was pulled over for speeding in Mangham on
Saturday, October 21, according to The News-Star. Police Chief Perry Fleming told the newspaper that The Goonies
alum was driving on a suspended license and he was taken in by police
after an officer noticed the smell of marijuana and searched the bus. Feldman was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, driving
under suspension and speeding and paid a fine of $640 instead of
posting bond. Four other members of his group were booked on drug
charges.

LOCAL PAPER 2 DO INTERVIEWS!” Feldman has been in the news this week after speaking out against sexual abusers in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal, and added that he found that timing of his legal trouble “ironic.” The singer and actor, who has talked in the past about being sexually abused as a child actor, wrote about his experiences in a series of tweets and Facebook posts on Thursday, October 19.
The Lost Boys star has claimed that he and frequent costar and close friend Corey Haim, who died of an accidental overdose in 2010, were abused by pedophiles in Hollywood.
