Israel ethnically cleansing Palestine: Activist

is cleansing Palestine of its native population in an effort to
ultimately set up a Jewish entity, an activist tells Press TV.
“Israel slowly but surely is ethnically cleansing Palestine of its
native population and increasingly making it so difficult for
Palestinians to stay there” that it becomes ultimately a Jewish entity,
Sara Marusek, a scholar and activist, said in an interview with Press
TV.She added that the Palestinians are “sick and tired” of the status quo, which is one of “colonization.”
The remarks by the activist come as fresh clashes have erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinians protesting the recent death of a Palestinian teenager at the hands of Israeli troops.
According to reports, Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian-American youth during clashes on Friday. Orwah Hammad, 14, was shot in the head in the West Bank town of Silwad, located northeast of Ramallah.
The Israeli army claimed that the youth was about to throw a petrol bomb at Israeli motorists.
Marasuk went on to say that the fact that an American-Palestinian teenager was killed by Israelis is going to make a “big difference” for the people in the United States, adding that it will make it more difficult for Israel.
The activist concluded by saying that Israel will continue behaving the way it wants because of the “blank check” it has from Washington but the tide of public opinion is turning against Israel all over the world.
