Πώς θα μπορέσει η Ελλάδα να εξουδετερώσει τα γεωπολιτικά της μειονεκτήματα στην περίπτωση ενός πολέμου με την Τουρκία; Το θέμα αυτό πραγματεύεται ο συγγραφέας στο κείμενο που προδημοσιεύει «Το Βήμα».
Η έκταση της τουρκικής επικράτειας είναι εξαπλάσια από την ελληνική και συνιστά σχεδόν εξ ολοκλήρου (δηλαδή με εξαίρεση το μικρό ευρωπαϊκό τμήμα της Τουρκίας) χώρο συμπαγή και ολότμητο, ενώ ο ελληνικός χώρος (και μάλιστα η κρίσιμη ως θέατρο πολέμου περιοχή ολόκληρου του Αιγαίου καθώς και η βόρεια Ελλάδα από τον Εβρο μέχρι τη Θεσσαλονίκη) αποτελείται από κατεσπαρμένα και μεμονωμένα εδάφη (νησιά) ή στενές λωρίδες. Το στρατηγικό πλεονέκτημα που δίνει η τέτοια κατανομή του χώρου στην τουρκική πλευρά είναι προφανές. Ο κατακερματισμένος ελληνικός χώρος μπορεί να καταληφθεί και να κρατηθεί κατά τμήματα, ακόμα και πολύ μικρά· ο εχθρός δεν είναι υποχρεωμένος να εμπλακεί στην πολεμική περιπέτεια κατάληψης ολόκληρης της ελληνικής επικράτειας προκειμένου ν’ αποσπάσει ένα τμήμα της, όποιο θέλει ή εν πάση περιπτώσει όποιο μπορεί· αφού καταλάβει ένα τμήμα, έχει τη δυνατότητα, εφ’ όσον υπερέχει στρατιωτικά, να εδραιώσει την καινούργια κατάσταση, δημιουργώντας σε σχετικά σύντομο διάστημα τετελεσμένα γεγονότα. Αντίθετα, η ελληνική πλευρά δεν έχει τη δυνατότητα (με ελάχιστες παρήγορες εξαιρέσεις) να αποσπάσει από τον μεγάλο και συμπαγή τουρκικό γεωγραφικό όγκο ένα μικρότερο ή μεγαλύτερο κομμάτι χωρίς να περιπλακεί, mutatis mutandis, στο τραγικό δίλημμα του 1922.

Regardless of what the future holds for The Donald, he will always be an American hero for the courage displayed as delineated below. With the notable exception of Ron Paul, no other presidential candidate has ever displayed so much raw courage. Trump has also exposed the underbelly of the American electoral process as no other candidate in U.S. history. In this regard alone he has already been wildly successful and can exit the race at any time with great satisfaction. Winning the presidency may not be in his destiny; educating and enlightened the electorate may be his much more important mission.

The single most important contribution that Donald Trump has made to the United States of America is his spontaneous display of courage and intestinal fortitude. Hence, his total lack of political correctness is rarely, if ever, seen on the American political stage.

For those who are uninitiated in the ways of presidential politics it’s important to understand that Donald Trump will eventually hit the proverbial wall. If he is truly his own man who has no intention of being controlled, he will not be nominated by the GOP. If he runs anyway as an Independent, the political establishment — working in concert with the mainstream media — will do everything in their power to marginalize and then completely neutralize him.
If, on the other hand, he plays nice and fully cooperates with the Republican Party, he will be forced to govern on their terms. Otherwise, the Republican majorities in Congress will make his job impossible. They will even go so far as to make Trump sign a confidential contract which they can, and will, enforce in any number of ways. That contract includes a strict promise not to prosecute any former president for war crimes or any other high crimes and misdemeanors. As a matter of fact, every single president since JFK has been forced to sign such a contract which is only broken on pain of death.
Furthermore, according to his contract, Donald Trump would essentially agree to following the dictates of the World Shadow Government so that the compromises as president would start to come fast and furiously … and fairly soon after his inauguration. In other words, his biggest campaign promises will be broken and forgotten as though he never made them.
These two scenarios constitute the essence of why The Donald is in so much trouble. He either has yet to face these grim political realities, or he is willing to sacrifice his life and reputation, estate and earnings for a higher purpose. Given his lifelong preoccupation with the acquisition of ‘things’, it is unlikely that he is willing to give it all up. His love of a good fight also seems to predispose him to duking it out since he often wins. Perhaps he is purposefully ignoring the dire consequences should he take this fight to the max. The JFK inside story would be highly instructive for him right now. _____________________________________________________________

Texas over voter fraud.This case could start a major examination
nationwide of voting machines and records to validate electronic voting
machines. The case is being brought by Dr. Laura Pressley, who has been
making her case to the people in Texas by giving more than 180
presentations on voter fraud.
Democrats have nothing to run on in 2018
mid-term elections. The most recent use of high school kids to promote
the repeal of the Second Amendment has backfired. A new poll says 80% of
citizens do NOT want the Second Amendment repealed. Not even 40% of all
Democrats want it repealed. All the Dems have to run on are lies and

When it comes to obeying laws protecting personal information, Americans have less faith in Facebook than other tech companies.
That's according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. As Statista's Niall McCarthy notes, Facebook has been engulfed in a storm of criticism after it emerged that political consultancy Cambridge Analytica harvested and exploited the personal information of 50 million of its users. The firm is trying to restore its badly tarnished image with CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently issuing a public apology. Judging by the findings of the poll, the social network certainly has serious work to do in order to restore confidence in its user base.

The research found that only 41 percent of Americans trust Facebook to obey U.S. privacy laws, far less than other tech companies known to gather user data.
66 percent of respondents said they trust Amazon, 62 percent trust Google and 60 percent trust Microsoft. Apple and Yahoo! were also ahead of Facebook in the trust stakes. The evaporation of trust among its users wasn't the only headache for Facebook in recent days.
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said it is investigating the firm to determine if it had "failed" to protect the privacy of its users. According to former FTC officials, the social network could be penalized severely if it is found to have violated or failed to comply with the consent decree it agreed in 2011. Fines could amount to $40,000 per violation and theoretically, this could all add up to $2 trillion.

is a war going on for your data, your wallet and ultimately your mind.
This war has been campaigned stealthily, unbeknownst to all but the most
informed and alert individuals.
For
anyone paying attention, you could see the draconian landscape
unfolding. Major tech firms have been passively harvesting your data
without your explicit permission.
I
have told people this for nearly five years now with mixed reviews.
Some would look at me with confusion and shake their heads. Others would
be shocked to learn the truth about the new "big brother" reality we
all now live in. It was simple enough to discover if you knew which
steps to take.
The
exercise is simple. Grab your phone, go into a silent room and start
talking about a store, a product or just about anything and then wait
five, ten, fifteen minutes. Soon enough, you will see new ads appear on
your YouTube videos. You will see new Google or Facebook ads relating to
that thing you just spoke about—to yourself, privately, and to no
other.
The
scariest part is when it’s a topic that previously had no interest to
you, one you never before inquired about on your laptop, phone, tablet
or desktop computer.
Big tech is listening to you, and now the public is learning the truth. Finally.
The
boiling point came over the past few weeks and has caused tremors
through the monopolistic tech community. Stock prices have plummeted,
and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has found himself in hot water.
Yet,
as I pointed out, Facebook is not alone in these actions. Google,
Twitter, Amazon and just about any other major social media platform are
doing the same thing. And their stock prices are reflecting this.
What
has outraged people on both the right and the left is the realization
that Facebook is not just serving you ads, they are selling your private
data to the highest bidder—some with political motivations in mind.
This
corruption is something that needs to be stamped out, and if the tide
of public opinion continues as is, there appears to be some hope. For
too long, these "innocent" tech companies have abused the trust they
were granted. For too long, they have sold your personal information to
unsavory sources.
